Hello there. Sorry I didn't get the word out about recent gigs. The Scarnella show on Saturday night was damn fun, but I’ll tell you what's up right now. My band that opened for Wilco in November now has a name: The Night Porter. We’ll be playing from time to time, though we are somewhat scattered geographically - and just plain scattered.

The Night Porter is playing 2 gigs in February and probably more, but I don't know all the shows yet. I booked the Spaceland show only 2 weeks before the gig, so please help get the word out.

(Good for Cows is a duo with the Night Porter's drum wiz, Ches Smith and, from The Nels Cline Singers, Devin Hoff on bass. Devin is also the mad double bassist inside my version of the Red Headed Stranger. Scott Amendola (from Red Headed Stranger) is the drummer in The Singers. Jessica Catron, cellist in The Night Porter is in Nels' group, The Blue Mitt Ensemble. Shahzad Ismaily, bassist/guitar from The Night Porter has played with every single person on the whole evenings' bill at one time or another, as well as most everyone I’ve ever met.
